Petition e-5186: Key Messages

The #WeAreCanadaToo campaign is driven by Petition e-5186, which calls on the Government of Canada to prioritize pancreatic cancer care by:

• Establishing national guidelines for pancreatic cancer treatment, including access to biomarker and genetic testing.

• Reviewing Canada’s approval process to expand access to critical treatments like Onivyde.

• Supporting frameworks for remote clinical trial participation, such as the CRAFT framework and Health Canada’s clinical trial modernization proposals.

Acknowledgment

By purchasing the #WeAreCanadaToo Baseball Cap, you are directly contributing to the advocacy efforts of The Heather Cutler Foundation. Every item sold supports our mission to honor Heather’s legacy and improve outcomes for Canadians living with pancreatic cancer. Thank you for being part of the movement and helping us bring this vision to life.

The #WeAreCanadaToo movement began with a Change.org campaign in late 2024 to garner public support for pancreatic cancer advocacy. Building on this momentum, Petition e-5186 was filed in November 2024 and authorized shortly after by MP Seamus O’Regan.

In March 2025, The Heather Cutler Foundation will host its first in-person event, the #WeAreCanadaToo street campaign, in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This event represents a powerful step forward in raising awareness, fostering community, and advocating for equitable healthcare access across the country.
